General and Booking Conditions – Villa MaJa

1. General
These general and booking conditions apply to all reservations and stays at Villa MaJa, located in Albir, Spain. By making a reservation, the guest agrees to these conditions.

2. Reservation and confirmation
A reservation becomes final once the guest has received written confirmation (by email or via the booking platform) from Villa MaJa. Villa MaJa reserves the right to refuse a reservation without stating reasons.

3. Payment
Payment terms are stated in the reservation confirmation.
If payments are not made on time, Villa MaJa reserves the right to cancel the reservation without refund.

4. Cancellation policy
Within 4 weeks prior to arrival, 50% of the total amount will be charged.
Within 2 weeks prior to arrival, 100% of the total amount will be charged.
* In the event of pandemics, wars, epidemics, natural disasters, or economic recessions, adjusted cancellation conditions may apply.

5. Arrival and departure

Check-in: from 3:00 PM
Check-out: no later than 10:00 AM
Late check-out may result in additional charges.

6. Use of the property
Staying in the property with more than the agreed number of guests is not permitted.
Smoking is prohibited inside the property.
Parties, events, and nuisance are not allowed.
Pets are only allowed if agreed upon in writing in advance.

7. Duty of care of the guest
The guest must treat the property and its inventory with care and leave the property broom-clean.

In case of damage, loss, or excessive dirt, Villa MaJa reserves the right to charge additional costs.

8. Cleaning
Upon departure:
All waste must be disposed of in the designated containers
All dishes must be cleaned and placed back in the cupboards
Failure to comply may result in additional cleaning charges.

9. Liability
Villa MaJa is not liable for:
Theft, loss, or damage to personal belongings
Accidents, injuries, or illness during the stay
Failures or interruptions of utilities (water, electricity, internet)
Use of the property, swimming pool, and facilities is entirely at your own risk.

10. Force majeure
In cases of force majeure (such as natural disasters, government measures, war, or pandemics), Villa MaJa cannot be held liable. In such cases, a reasonable solution will be sought.

11. Privacy
Personal data will only be used for the purpose of processing the reservation and will not be shared with third parties.

12. Applicable law
These conditions are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court.
